A replacement levy for the benefit of Five Rivers MetroParks (Eastwood and Eastwood Lake, Englewood, Huffman, Cox Arboretum, Carriage Hill and Farm, Wesleyan, Wegerzyn Gardens, Deeds Point, Riverscape, Sunrise, Island, Hills and Dales, Possum Creek and Farm, Germantown, Twin Creek, Taylorsville, Sugarcreek, Aullwood Garden Metroparks, National City Second Street Market, bike trails, river corridors, conservation areas and other properties of metroparks) for the purpose of conserving and improving natural resources, wildlife habitat, streams, and natural areas; public outdoor recreation and horticulture facilities and programs; visitor security and accessibility; nature and environmental education programs; historic preservation of rural lifestyles and traditions; and maintenance of all existing and future metroparks facilities at a rate not exceeding 1.8 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.18, for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 10 years, commencing in 2009, first due in calendar year 2010. An existing levy of 1.8 mills, having 1 year remaining, will be cancelled and replaced upon passage of this levy.
