| Taking into consideration today’s economic climate, what do you see as source for the continued funding of necessary public services to Bellbrook’s growing population? | ||
Since Bellbrook is land-locked, the city expects only minimal growth for public services. Grants, from State, Federal and local agencies, along with unwasteful spending and budgeting, Council consistently works with the City Manager to insure necessary public services continue be available to Bellbrook citizens. Also, Bellbrook is fortunate in having adminstrative and services personnel that work together to provide publice services to the local population uninterrupted and without a city income tax.

| Taking into consideration today’s economic climate, what do you see as source for the continued funding of necessary public services to Bellbrook’s growing population? | ||
In today's economy, raising taxes is not a viable alternative. Bellbrook operates with a lean budget. Efficient spending and budgeting has allowed Bellbrook to operate without an income tax. As we look at the continued funding of necessary public services, we need to continue our emphasis on pursuing grant opportunities. Additionally, we need to analyze costs that can be further reduced and ultimately, look at reducing the size of our government.

Bellbrook, Ohio is currently land locked and has no more land for sub dividions. We have two brand new housing developments and they will be years filling up. I am a conservative Republican and tend to vote that way on City Council matters. I am againast any new taxes on our citizenery and have only voted one time in the past 12 years for a NEW tax on the Bellbrook community. That was last May for the Bellbrook Fire Department to continue their level of superior service to the Bellbrook community. Bellbrook has NO CITY INCOME TAX and I would never vote for one.

| Taking into consideration today’s economic climate, what do you see as source for the continued funding of necessary public services to Bellbrook’s growing population? | ||
Now more than ever, we MUST be as frugal as possible with the public funding entrusted to us as Bellbrook’s city council. I am against new taxes and feel strongly we must work hard to find innovative solutions that will allow us as a city to “live within our means” just as we all must do in our own households. My goal is to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to this crucial issue.
