I believe the most important issue for the Valley View School district is to provide a quality education for all of our students to prepare them for a successful future, in a changing and challenging environment. In order to improve our schools there must be a combination of student accountability, parental involvement, quality teachers, excellent and safe facilities, a supportive community with trust and open communication between all groups.

I believe our school board's biggest responsibility is to continue to challenge our students in and out of the classroom by engaging parents as vital members of each student's education, supporting and positively encouraging our teachers and staff, and creatively working within a realistic budget. I also believe that all business of a school board should be conducted with the utmost transparency and fiscal responsibility, and will strongly advocate for community interaction on all matters.

State funding for schools, providing a safe wholesome learning environment for students and continually improving on academic achievement standards, while strengthening family and school related partnerships. I believe every child can learn and every teacher, committed to educating children, can teach. The challenge is getting teachers and students to believe in each other and in orchestrating the delivery of teaching strategies that adequately address different learning styles and, there’s no additional cost to do it.
