| What impact will failure of any of the service levies this fall have on Trotwood’s overall budget and what proactive measures should the council be making to assure that essential services continue for Trotwood residents? | ||
The loss of the EMS/Fire or Road levies will add to the already challenged city budget. The city must continue to look at any and all cost cutting measures and assure citizens that their needs above all else will be the highest priority. Citizens deserve a standard of service and it is up to it's leaders to set that priority.

Catastrophic, we need only look to last years loss of a 1 mill replacement levy for street department. Council cut salt use and eliminated leaf pickup for the fall. Only a change in the way and where we spend will help the General Fund in a time of reduced revenue from dropping property and income taxes. Without change will result in more layoffs, paycuts and furloughs, essential services will certainly suffer!
