I will continue to listen to the concerns of the other political subdivisions with an open mind, ask questions, and encourage all the others involved to do the same. The more information we share the better we can understand each other. Examples: Regional Planning Advisory Committee to discuss economic and development issues. Natural and Manmade Disaster Emergency Response Plan to administer all types of aid to region. Continued joint purchase of materials for best price.

| How would you, as a township trustee, encourage cooperation among the townships and/or the city of Oxford? Please give three specific examples. | ||
I would encourage cooperation by educating the population, articulating a cooperative philosophy and insisting on parties participating with an open mind. Almost everyone I have spoken with does not realize those living inside the city limits are also residents of the township. Realizing we are all part of the same community we may start to take ownership, work together and make a difference. Our community should not be defined by an invisible line.

| How would you, as a township trustee, encourage cooperation among the townships and/or the city of Oxford? Please give three specific examples. | ||
I would initiate open monthly City-Township meetings to build cooperation, outline issues and provide opportunities for working together. Collaborate with neighboring townships and the City to regionally plan to retain northwest Butler County’s rural character while providing for economic development. Compare and celebrate City/Township comprehensive plans, jointly plan implementation on mutual goals. Identify areas of common boundaries and develop potential rural/urbanized transitional zones with shared, consistent zoning/subdivision rules supporting farming, rural character.
