It is imperative that the City of Middletown adjust its budget to basic services while proactively seeking businesses and growth. | ||

A continued recession will cause severe budget problems for Middletown. Council should be planning now for this problem. Every expense of the City must be reviewed and all Department heads should be required to present proposed budgets in line with proposed revenues for 2010. The City Manager should be required to reveiew all proposals and then present a plan to Council. Council must then review the plan and make the required decisions to balance the budget. | ||
