| What is your position on the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures? | ||
The additional revenue generated should be considered as an investment in our Village's future. This will provide additional funds necessary for leverage to obtain additional grants for continued improvements in our infrastructure, Village Park expansion and improvements. The additional revenue will assist in the development of the recently acquired thirty acres of railroad property for possible senior citizen residential housing and to improve and expand facilties for our youth. Improvements benefit all Bradford citizens.

| What is your position on the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures? | ||
Like many citizens, we are unaware of how village taxes are used. To gather at the public park we are required to pay?? Renovations to our city center are overpriced!! Our village historical items are slowly being removed from our community. Our economic position is currently not the best it could be. I think we should watch spending closely, and without explanation of current expenses I am against the 0.50% increase.

| What is your position on the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures? | ||
I am in favor of the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures. This increase brings Bradfoed in line with surrounding communities' tax base. The increase will only affect incomes, NOT pensions. The increase will NOT affect anyone living in Bradford working in a surrounding community. For those working in Bradford, living in Bradford, (my wife amongst these) we must ensure that wer are good stewards of the funds entrusted to us by the public to make Bradford a better place to live, work, and raise our families.

| What is your position on the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures? | ||
I would vote no on the proposal of .50% income tax increase due to the simple fact that so many people are losing their homes, their jobs, and struggling to get by in everyday life. Another tax increase could cause even more problems during these economic times. I would like to see economic growth in Bradford in the means of homeowners, businesses, and jobs. A vote for me would mean progress in our community.

Operating cost are increasing every year but it is also hard to ask for the tax payers that are employed in Bradford for a tax increase due to the present economy.

| What is your position on the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures ? | ||
Currently, I would be against the proposed 0.50% income tax increase for village expenditures. As a non-incumbent, I would have to have more information regarding the exact purpose of the bill along with detailed budget information before I could justify such an increase. I believe that better budget management and investigating other sources of revenue, such as grants, would be a better option for the village residents.

| What is your position on the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures? | ||
At first I was hesitant about this proposal considering today’s economic environment; however, once understood, it makes sense. Residents working in Bradford or not paying enough “city tax” elsewhere will be affected, but most residents won’t see any change because 1.50% or more is already paid through an employer. Non-taxable income remains non-taxable. This increase of 50¢ per $100 income could boost village funds an estimated $100,000, enabling continued growth and improvement within our village.

| What is your position on the proposed 0.50% income tax increase to support village expenditures? | ||
As of this article I haven't heard what the tax increase would be used for. At the end of my term in 2007 the General Fund was balanced with a surplus in contingencies. That doesn't include a $30,000 savings contracting with the sheriff's department. Registered voters will have to make a informative decision on Novemeber 3. As a council member you have to be responsible with the money you have to work with.
