At the same time, the City should explain to residents its options to reduce expenditures both in capital budget and operational costs and services if necessary. We should not raise taxes or decrease the local tax credit which itself would cause Tipp City residents to pay more in taxes in addition to where they might work. We should re-prioritize our efforts at reducing costs to the city. This would include expenses and/or other costs associated with the upper levels of management.

Council must continue to cut costs and be fiscally responsible. We must work to make Tipp City a valuable place for businesses. Previous councils have had to delay many needed capital improvements. The list has grown since the year 2000. The new council needs to develop a 10-15 year plan that will begin to attack this list and then come back to the voters for their support.
