I see Concord Township's biggest challenge as stormwater run off, the amount and the pollution it contains. To respond to this challenge of the stormwater issues I am currently working with the Home Builders Association, Miami County Engineers Office, other Miami County Township Officials, Miami County Soil and Water, and Miami Conservancy District in seeking answers for our Township and County's problem. This committee will continue its work into 2010. | ||

Economic development in Concord Township. We are located in the heart of Miami County, with land on both sides of Interstate 75 that includes four major interchanges, within ten miles of the Interstate 70/75 Interchange and Dayton International Airport, 20 miles to Dayton, and 25 miles to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the home of the seven billion dollar BRAC program. I promote the availability of land, favorable taxes, housing, medical services, schools, government services, recreation facilities in cooperation with the Miami County Economic Develop Staff to capitalize on the BRAC program ED opportunities and creat jobs for all of our citizens. | ||

Thje biggest problem facing Concord Township is maintaining and enhancing quality of life during challenging economic times (fire & police protection, road maintenance, zoning, etc.). To address this problem, I plan to use proven leadership skills and knowledge of the communtiy to bring together township, county, city and school officials to share information, to identify common goals and to use available resources in order to effectively meet the needs of the community. | ||
