| As a resident of Mechanicsburg I am active in the community as the current president of the Mechanicsburg Village Council, current member and past president of the Mechanicsburg Lions Club, and past Firefighter/EMT with the Mechanicsburg Fire Department. |
| Has the drive to find funding to continue the village EMS service been successful and what do you feel the challenges are to continue providing that service for Mechanicsburg residents ? |
As a small municipality, funding for services is always a challenge. With supplements from the General Fund we are currently successful in providing a 24/7 EMS service. Our mindset is changing from “Can we” to “How will we” continue to provide a quality full time EMS service to our residents. One strategy is in partnering with the surrounding townships in the formation of a joint fire district, toward which we are progressing. |

| I had the pleasure to serve the community for 20 years. This council has done more than any other councils in the pass. I've enjoyed working with this present council. I believe we are going to grow with more new business. |

The EMS is going to be more creative on money making projects. If our receipts to come in as they have been I believe we can still fund the EMS from the General Fund for 24 hour coverage exceeds what our tax levy brings in and with the economy like it is now, if revenues fall we may have a problem funding the EMS full time but anything is possible. |
