| What role do you think the council should play in economic development for the City of Urbana and what ideas do you have for boosting Urbana’s economic growth? | ||
Council should work closely with the Administration to implement a Comprehensive Plan. Urbana allowed past plans to collect dust. An up-to-date transportation thoroughfare and economic development plan would go a long way to boosting economic growth in Urbana. My opponents wanted to use the old comprehensive plan from 1994 and are currently working without a plan or any foresight. A new Comprehensive Plan designed for the 21st Century is my top priority.

| What role do you think the council should play in economic developmetn for the city of Urbana ans what ideas do yo have for boosting Urbana's economic growth? | ||
Council must be brought into the economic development process. Under our present charter government that is not the case. Council should stand with the administration as one in development, planning and vision. Urbana should be run like a business. We need to advertise and market what we have to offer as a residential and commercial community. I would think outside the box in order to bring the much needed jobs to our communty.
