| What is the biggest challenge facing Pike Township and what plans do you have for solving that challenge? | ||
The biggest challenge facing Pike Township is the current state of the economy. Responsible use of the taxpayers' money must continue to be enforced. Pike Township is filled with hard working people and their tax dollars need to be respected. I believe I can achieve this through previous experience serving on the board of the Ohio Pork Producers Council, Clark County Farm Bureau and the Clark County Fair Board, serving as Secretary and Vice President.

I belive there are two challenges facing Pike Township. We must keep our township fiscally sound to continue our excellent Fire and Rescue services. The other is to work with our County Sheriff Department to get a better handle on the rising theft and vandalism in our township.

The biggest challenge facing Pike Township is maintaining services and infrastucture while watching the budget. My plan is to continue to prioritize: fire and EMS equipment replacement by using an updated five year plan that I helped create, road maintenance projects with input from outside road maintenance experts, replacement of road department equipment based on reliability and repair costs and training of staff members to provide up to date services.

I would like to see Pike Township become more Eco-Friendly. we need to preserve more farmland to maintain our rural charm and scenery. We need to hold finanicial institutions responsible for maintaining foreclosed properties so other Township residents/property owners are not affected or inconvenienced. I plan to work, hand in hand, with residents of Pike Township to ensure our community thrives for all to enjoy.
