The biggest challenge in the townhip still remains to be the Tremont landfill and Barrel fill. I plan to keep working with the EPA, the Clark County Health Department and support CF Water to get the landfill and Barrell cleaned up. We plan, as part of the solution to the clean up, to fix the sewage problem in the Township and surrounding area.

The biggest Challenge TAX PAYERS dollars, being self-employed understand the value of a dollar. I assure your money will be spent wisely. township meetings should be held in the evening allowing resident to attend and voice concerns. Road repair should be done promptly and maintained. I have a concern the old dead trees along the township roads I fear if they fall towards the road this could be fatal. I would be proud to serve as Trustee!

The landfill is still the biggest challenge facing German Township. Even though expansion attempts have been defeated, there are 40,000 barrels of liquid toxins buried there that pose a devastating threat to our water supply. The German Township Trustees are working toward a permanent solution to this threat which would include an on-site treatment facility. This remediation would not only protect our aquafer, but would also include the capacity to treat sewage from Tremont City.

There would be two challenges facing the Township. One is improving and implementing programs that could save the Townhsip money. Second would be to attaract more businesses. We need to develop programs and training that would help to lower costs in workers compensation and insurance liabilities. We need to search for available grants to improve township services. We need to attrract buseinesses to our area by having good schools, safe neighborhoods, and available local resources.
