| What is the biggest challenge facing Bethel Township and what plans do you have for solving that challenge? | ||
The biggest challenge facing Bethel Township at this time is Financial. Lower Real Estate values create a lower tax base, and decreased revenues follows. Having served on the Financial Committee as a Councilman while getting New Carlisle out of Fiscal Watch gives me the appropriate experience as an elected official to conservatively husband our jurisdiction's resources. Also, my experience as a business owner, and Library Board President prove that I can effectively manage money.

| What is the biggest challenge facing Bethel Township and what plans do you have for solving that challenge? | ||
The biggest challenges are job creation and deteriorating roads and infrastructure, with insufficient funds for repairs and maintenance. I will support local businessmen’s pursuit of an industrial park, which will bring new jobs and tax revenue to Bethel Township. I will ensure new revenue generated is used to address the most pressing financial needs: creating jobs and improving township roads and infrastructure. I will also maintain the township’s highly trained and well-staffed fire department.

With no voted road levy, funding road maintenance is our biggest challenge. we are using various treatments to extend road life, and I have written a $1.3 million grant for major rehabilitation of four roads and replacement of a bridge in Park Layne next year that is awaiting final approval. I am committed to no new taxes, and will stay within our budget by continuing to implement cost saving strategies and seeking grant funding.

| What is the biggest challenge facing Bethel Township and what plans do you have for solving that challenge? | ||
The current Trustees have failed in having a clear understanding of the burden they placed on the Township for paying off the debt on the new firehouse of 1.2 million dollars, and additional cost of $45,000 yearly to supplement current sheriff coverage. If elected I will ensure the use of sound judgement to manage the Townshops affairs in the best interest of the public.
