Man sentenced to 30 years for shooting
Photos from the trial and sentencing of Jerry Adams III at the Butler County Courthouse in Hamilton. Jerry Adams III was found guilty of aggravated murder in the shooting death of Raymond Davis in Middletown. He was sentenced to 25 years to life with an additional 5 years for a gun specification. Adams will serve at least 30 years.

Local Marine killed in homicide
A Marine, Cpl. Joshua Hartzell (22), from Hamilton and a 2006 graduate of Ross High School was found dead in North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 6, a victim of an apparent homicide.

Ex-coach faces arson charge
James Clay appears in Miami County Common Pleas court on the opening day of his arson trial. Clay, is a former Troy Christian school coach already in prison for sexual conduct with a teen. He is accused of setting his house on fire shortly after he was indicted for the sex offense.

The Butler County Sheriff's department narcotics unit in conjunction the Clermont County Sheriff's department arrested three suspects Tuesday, September 1, 2009, in the biggest heroin bust in Butler County history. The arrest confiscated around $200,000 worth of heroin, $66,000 in cash and 2 hand guns.
