Firefighter accused in break-in

A Dayton firefighter has been accused of breaking into The Amber Rose restaurant, causing the restaurant to close its doors for repairs. Oscar D. Burgess, 33, was arrested by Dayton police about 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, according to a police report.

Alleged robbery suspects found

Two alleged robbery suspects were taken into custody at 141 Samuel Ave. Saturday. Dayton police took into custody two men from the Samuel Ave. home after the Kwik 'n Kold at 1316 Wyoming Street was robbed and an employee was shot in the back. Residence of the 100 block of Samuel Ave. were told by Dayton police to leave or stay in their homes Saturday.

Man sentenced to 30 years for shooting

Photos from the trial and sentencing of Jerry Adams III at the Butler County Courthouse in Hamilton. Jerry Adams III was found guilty of aggravated murder in the shooting death of Raymond Davis in Middletown. He was sentenced to 25 years to life with an additional 5 years for a gun specification. Adams will serve at least 30 years.
