Elf Christmas Shop closing
The Elf Christmas Shop at 4077 Salem Ave. is closing after more than 30 years in business. The final closeout sale at the shop, which has been at the location for 42 years, will be Nov. 19 through 21 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The Iams pet food company
Procter & Gamble Co., which bought the Vandalia-based Iams Co. pet food business for $2.3 billion in 1999, said it will relocate the Iams headquarters and its 240 employees in October to Mason. The company said it will close the P&G Pet Care plant on Poe Avenue,

Technology announcement at UD
Ohio designated the Dayton region as a hub of aerospace innovation and opportunity Tuesday, Sept. 9. The announcement came as Israeli business and government representatives visited Dayton to seal long-term plans to work together in aerospace technology research and development, and to refine that R&D for commercial and military markets.

New Dayton business resource center unveiled
The city of Dayton held a press conference Monday to announce the opening a new Business Resource Center to help businesses needing permits, reviews of plans, or financing and incentive option assistance. The new facility is at 371 W. Second Street, downtown.
