The Atrium at Greene, Inc. formally opens

Hundreds of people poured into The Atrium at Greene, Inc. on Thursday, Nov. 19 for the building's formal Gala Opening, which welcomed staff, clients and their families, and community leaders to the new facility. Construction on the facility began in April and clients are already utilizing the new rooms which include art and music therapy, and multi-sensory rooms devoted to help those with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Lebanon McDonald's reopening

Guests visited the Lebanon McDonald's on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, for the VIP reopening event. After three months of construction, the store opened for regular business at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Elf Christmas Shop closing

The Elf Christmas Shop at 4077 Salem Ave. is closing after more than 30 years in business. The final closeout sale at the shop, which has been at the location for 42 years, will be Nov. 19 through 21 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

John Deere dealership construction

Steel and concrete were being worked on by Ferguson Construction Co. employees erecting the new 18,000 square foot Koenig Equipment, Inc. building, a new John Deere dealership serving the Tipp City / Troy area in Miami County. It should be open in January on County Road 25A at Blauser Drive in southern Tipp City.

A coalition of local labor and justice organizations held a march and rally for jobs Tuesday, Nov. 10, in front of the Old Courthouse in downtown Dayton. The group was rallying for living wage jobs, job creation, and programs to help the underemployed, the unemployed, and those facing foreclosure.
