Wright-Patterson Air Force Base converted the former Communications Boulevard into Kuglics Boulevard during a formal ceremony Friday, Oct. 23, 2009. The street was renamed to honor Air Force special agent Matthew J. Kuglics, killed in action June 5, 2007.

New civilian employees were welcomed and sworn in on Monday, June 8 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The group of 35 newly hired contracting specialists will become part of the acquisition workforce for either Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Force Research Laboratory or the 88th Contracting Squadron at the base after nine weeks of training.

Metcalf is presented with the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA) by former astronaut and DESA recipient Neil Armstrong during a ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the National Museum of the United States Air Force where Metcalf now serves as director.
