Man dies in Dayton house fire
A 53-year-old man died in a fire at 2631 E. Third in Dayton early on Thursday, October 29. Early reports from the Dayton Fire Department indicate that the man was smoking while using oxygen when the fire started.

UD receives major nativity scene collection
A collection of Nativity scenes and related items were donated to the University of Dayton library. The collection, valued at $150,000, is a gift from an Australian woman who spent 30 years amassing the 2,300 pieces in the donation.
