The Hal McCoy baseball clinic held Saturday, Oct. 3, at Fifth Third Field in Dayton matched players and coaches from Sinclair Community College, the University of Dayton and Wright State University with youths from 7 to 13 years old. It was a fundraiser for Building Bridges, a local nonprofit that helps at risk kids.

Curtis "Bingo" Lloyd, who played baseball for the Dayton Marcos in the Negro Leagues, died Thursday, Feb. 26. He is survived by Viola, his wife of 66 years.
