Truck loses load on I-75 / I-675 ramp
Clean up begins after a semi-truck lost a roll of coiled steel near the ramp from I-75 north to I-675 north. The coil landed in the median and no injuries were reported.

Abortion protest in Kettering
People lined the E Stroop Rd to make a Life Chain, an anti-abortion event, Sunday, Oct. 4. Life Chain is a national annual event draws 1,800 people from more than 70 area churches and organizations in the Miami Valley each year.

Berlin airlift vets meet in Dayton
Berlin airlift veterans from all over the county visited the airlift exhibition at the Air Force Museum last week. Gail Halverson, the original "candy bomber" who conceived the idea of dropping candy for the children of Berlin was there.

Church bell tower fire
Xenia and Xenia Twp. firefighters responded to the Union Methodist Church early Friday, October 2 after neighbor Laura Aldridge spotted the fire at about 7:20. Most of the damage was confined to the bell tower.
