Police are investigating a multi-vehicle accident at Huffman Avenue and Fifth Street this afternoon, Nov. 11, that sent at least two people to the hospital and closed the intersection in all directions.

Area firefighters participated in a training fire Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, off State Route 123 in Turtlecreek Twp. The house was burned as a training exercise and fire departments from Turtlecreek Twp., Salem/Morrow, Harlan and Wayne Twp. were on scene.

Deconstruction Depot opens

The St. Vincent de Paul Deconstruction Depot opened Saturday at 945 Edwin C. Moses. The new partnership with Dayton Works Plus LLC sells reusable building materials recovered from vacant homes being torn down with funds from the city through the Federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Hours of the new store are Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; closed Sunday.
