Buildings moved to Carillon Park

Four historic buildings were moved on Sunday, July 12, from the Kettering-Moraine Museum site to a new home at Carillon Historical Park. The four buildings, Deeds Barn, the Miller House, the Newcom-Greer House, and the Hetzel House, were lifted and put on wheels for the move by workers from Edwards Moving and Rigging of Shelbyville, Ky in early July.

Remembering 'Chuzz' Armpriester

“Trailblazer” was the word most frequently used to describe Margaret "Chuzz" Armpriester, the funny, feisty, warmhearted woman who excelled in many sports and coached the NCR women’s softball team to a national championship in the ’50s. The 85-year-old Kettering woman died July 3, 2009.

Sherman tank rumbles town

A Sherman tank made a morning spin through Troy Friday, July 10, to promote this weekend's WACO Military Experience. The military show and swap meet begins today and runs through Sunday at the WACO Air Museum, 1865 S. County Road 25A in Troy. The event features vintage military aircraft and vehicles plus food and entertainment.

5 injured in two-car collision

Firefighters from several Clark and Greene County departments cut a car apart to rescue the driver Thursday, July 9 after it collided head-on with the smoldering SUV in the foreground on Wilberforce-Clifton Road. The driver of the SUV was pulled from the vehicle by a passerby seconds before it was engulfed in flames. Two adults and three children total were transported to the hospital, two by CareFlight, following the crash.
