Funeral for slain 3 war veteran

U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) North E. Woodall, a decorated veteran of three wars, was remembered at a funeral service Thursday, Aug. 6, at the VA Medical Center Historical Protestant Chapel. Woodall was found dead by a neighbor on Monday, July 27, at his Dayton home after an apparent home invasion.

5 cows escape farm in Springfield

Five cows wandered from a farm on Mechanicsburg Road in Springfield and were spotted in the area on Tuesday, Aug. 4. The cows were rounded up and returned to their owner by the Clark County Humane Society, the Clark County Sheriff's office and the Springfield Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.
