Warrior Guides training

Firefighters battled a fire at the Promenade at Beavercreek Apartment Homes on Monday, Aug. 17. The apartment building, located on Saffron Lane, was struck by lightning during a brief thunderstorm in the afternoon.

Dead body found in Moraine

Photos from the scene: Moraine police investigate the death of a 57-year-old man who lived at 5671 Hemple Road. Apparently the man wondered naked from his home into his neighbors yard and died Monday night August 17, 2009. Moraine police found about 100 marijuana plants in the deceased mans home and believe he may of died of heatstroke.

Kids get free back to school haircuts

About 800 boys and girls got free back-to-school haircuts Sunday, Aug. 16, at the 2nd Barber & Stylist Cut-Off at the Dayton Convention Center. About 30 area barber shops and salons provided the talent for the event.
