Workers injured in flash fire

Four workers were taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries suffered during a flash fire Friday afternoon, Aug. 28, at specialty pharmaceutical company Eurand America, in Vandalia, city and hospital officials said. All of the approximately 200 employees at Eurand's plant at 845 Center Drive were evacuated, Vandalia city authorities said. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
