Man trapped in pond by mower

Clark County Sheriff's deputies investigate where an unidentified man was mowing the edge of a pond on a property at 55 Victory¿s Safety Lane near Medway just before 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 when the riding lawn mower rolled into the pond and on top of the man. He was trapped underwater for about 10 minutes before deputies and paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to a local hospital after rescue workers freed him and worked to revive him

Fatal accident at I-675 interchange

One person is dead after they went off the road on Interstate 675 south bound in an SUV. The SUV flipped multiple times and the driver was trapped. Beavercreek Fire and Rescue removed the driver from his vehicle but he died before he could be CareFlighted to an area hospital.

4 Riverplace in Dayton demolished

Workers from Bladecutters, Inc. begin demolition Wednesday morning, Sept. 16, of the building known as 4 Riverplace on Emmet Street in Dayton. More recently the building was home to the steak house restaurant, Rockwell's, and Mutz bar. The building is the first commercial structure being razed using Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding.

House fire in the Oregon District

Dayton firefighters work a fire at 42 Tecumseh Street in the Oregon District that did about $10,000 in damage to the half-double residence on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Dayton Fire East District Chief Ron Fleming said the resident had put grease on the stove for cooking but became distracted while tending to her husband who had just come home from the hospital.

Car accident in Dayton

A car accident involving a white Trailblazer and a green Sebring at the intersection of South Main and Wyoming Streets in Dayton disrupted afternoon traffic in the area. The white Trailblazer was making a left onto South Main St. when the green Sebring ran the red light going north on Main St.
