Shooting in Springfield
Springfield Police are investigating a shooting in the 500 block of Rebecca Drive this morning, Monday, Nov. 16. The shooting reportedly occurred about 6:30 a.m., police said, and no suspects are in custody.

Local Marine killed in homicide
A Marine, Cpl. Joshua Hartzell (22), from Hamilton and a 2006 graduate of Ross High School was found dead in North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 6, a victim of an apparent homicide.

Alleged robbery suspects found
Two alleged robbery suspects were taken into custody at 141 Samuel Ave. Saturday. Dayton police took into custody two men from the Samuel Ave. home after the Kwik 'n Kold at 1316 Wyoming Street was robbed and an employee was shot in the back. Residence of the 100 block of Samuel Ave. were told by Dayton police to leave or stay in their homes Saturday.

Man killed, shot 14 times
Photos from the scene: A man getting into his car to go to work was shot multiple times and killed Monday morning, Nov. 9, 2009 in the 4700 block of Blueberry Ave. Dayton Police Sgt. Wayne Scott said a call came in at 6:05 a.m. from a caller who said a man was shot as he was getting into his vehicle at Blueberry Avenue and Arlene Avenue.
