Wympee's closes after 70 years

The landscape around Wympee's — located at East Third Street and Wayne Avenue in the shadow of downtown Dayton — has changed dramatically since the burger joint/coffee shop/diner opened in 1938. The diner celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2008, but shuttered its doors in October 2009.

Fulton Farms strawberry fields

Employees of Fulton Farms pick strawberries in one of three strawberries patches in Troy, held this year June 5-7. Fulton Farms strawberries have been used during the Troy Strawberry Festival since 1977. Over 1500 quarts of strawberries are sold at Fulton Farms during the week of the festival.
