Pyramid Hill lights up

A million plus lights are on display at the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park in Hamilton for this year's light show, which opened Friday night, November 20. The display, which took about 7 weeks to prepare for, features lighting displays covering over a hundred acres of land. The light show has been voted the best show in the Tri-state for the past 4 years and runs from Nov. 20th - Jan 1.

'Extreme Makeover' home gets decorated

Employees of Christmas Decor decorate the Terpenning family home in Beavercreek recently featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The Troy-based company donated the effort on Monday, Nov. 16, putting up greenery and LED lighting along along the roof ridges and eaves as well as lighting the windows in front and back. The lights will be turned on between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23.

Students make cards, ornaments

Family Career Community Leaders of America, made up of students and teachers from Northwestern Middle School and Southeastern High School, were asked to make tree ornaments and cards that will be sent along with Christmas trees to troops serving in the Middle East. They made enough ornaments for at least two trees and more than 100 cards. The trees, ornaments and cards will be sent to the Ohio Tree Farmers in Columbus, who will ship them to the troops.
