Locals join Race Across America
A local biking team including a 75-year-old Monroe man is competing with the Great Grand PAC Masters cycling team in the Race Across America cycling race, which runs from Oceanside, Calif. to Annapolis, Md. The Race came through Middletown on Wednesday, June 24.

Miami Mergers break world record
Miami University's 'Miami Mergers' broke the world record for the number of couples renewing their vows at the same time on Saturday, June 20. The record-setting 1,087 couples were part of the MU's Alumni Weekend events. 125 dozen cupcakes were baked for the event. The cupcakes were a traditional white cake with butter cream frosting for the campus catering service, Carillon Catering.

AleFest Questival kickoff
The 2009 AleFest Questival kickoff on Friday, June 19, 2009 was a progressive beer tasting that began at the CondoFest at Soraya Farms and then moved to HomeFest at the Trails of SaddleCreek where the band The Fries performed. 60 different beers were available for tasting.
